We completely missed this detail too.

Ahead of the recent Severance season two finale, JOE sat down with series star Dichen Lachman to discuss the shocking end to the episode, fan theories and what’s next for the show.

But also during the spoilery conversation, we asked the Ms Casey / Gemma actress if there were any details she noticed when reading the Severance scripts or as she was watching along that fans may have missed.

While Lachman said no, as her focus is more on the characters and relationships as an actor, she expressed her awe at how closely fans watch the series – particularly one eagle-eyed viewer who spotted a hidden detail that turned out to be very important to the finale.

It involves the crib Outie Mark and his wife Gemma bought in season two, episode seven ‘Chikhai Bardo’ and how it relates to Innie Mark’s mysterious work project titled ‘Cold Harbor’.

Lachman told JOE:

“I love how closely people watch the show. Like someone, I think the other day had zoomed in to when Mark had bought the crib and it had ‘cold harbor’ on the box of the crib.

“And I was like: ‘These fans are amazing.’ Because it’s so small. They would have had to purposefully zoom in to actually be looking for clues like that.

“They’re freeze framing and they’re looking at every part of the shot to find like a little nugget. So [I’m] super impressed by the Severance fandom.”
